We read the happy hour menu of every bar and restaurant we track, re-check each one every night, and take each venue's cheapest fixed price for the five things people order most. These are the medians: half the spots charge less, half charge more.

When happy hour happens
- 3pm is the most common start time (178 spots).
- 305 of 450 spots run happy hour every day of the week, and 382 on at least one weekend day (weekend happy hours).
- 162 have a late-night window starting at 8pm or later (late-night happy hours).
How we worked it out
- Every price comes from the venue's own website, menu PDF or menu photo, linked from its page on A Little Hang. Menus are re-checked every night, and this page updates with them.
- Each venue counts once per drink or dish: its cheapest fixed happy hour price for it. A bar listing ten cheap beers counts as one.
- Discounts without a final price ("$2 off"), prices per ounce, bottles, pitchers, food-and-drink combos and alcohol-free drinks are left out. A pint is 14 to 20oz; a glass of wine is a full pour, not a 3oz taste; an oyster over $6 is a plate and is left out.
- Spots whose times we couldn't confirm (10 of 460) are left out.
- Prices are in Canadian dollars, before tax and tip.
